We may ship goods all over the world, but at The Bowl Company we make a point of giving back to the community we call home. Take a look at some of the local organizations and events that we support.
ArtBeat, the Village of Brewster’s sidewalk art show, invites artists and visitors to enjoy a day of exhibits and music. Featuring local artists, musicians, and vendors, this summer’s ArtBeat events will be held on July 6th (picnic style, so bring a blanket!) and August 3rd at the Walter Brewster House, located at 43 Oak Street in Brewster, New York.
Village of Brewster Film Festival
Now in its second year, the VOB Film Festival showcases local filmmaking talent of all ages. This year’s festival will have 3 days of films and will include several feature length films, as well as our short Festival. There will also be a Food Festival on the second day. It all happens Labor Day Weekend in the Village of Brewster, NY!
Landmarks Preservation Society of Southeast
The Landmarks Preservation Society is a non-profit organization which identifies and preserves landmarks that constitute the historical, architectural or natural heritage of the town of Southeast. The society owns and is restoring three landmarks. The 1794 Old Southeast Church on Route 22 is used as an ecumenical center open to visitors upon request to a landmarks officer. The church property also contains the Doanesburg Schoolhouse. The Walter Brewster House, c. 1850 in the Greek Revival style, was the residence of the founder of Brewster Village. Today it is Landmarks headquarters. The organization provides a variety of services and activities to its members.
